# Writer 0.1.1-alpha.20260913 Early-access release for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13.5 Ventura or later. ## Included in this alpha - Writer's local writing, editing, research canvas, document references and persistent frame conversations. - Connected Robynn company context and publishing preparation, with account access initiated by an explicit action in the Publish panel. - Google account sign-in recovery that preserves a completed browser authorization separately from Code Assist project, entitlement or model-access errors. - Updated Gemini model discovery startup and isolated settings for overlapping account operations. Use your own supported AI account or API key. Provider eligibility, availability and usage limits still apply. Website Editor is optional and off by default. Connected website and publishing workflows are alpha features. ## Installation 1. Download and open the DMG. 2. Drag Writer into Applications. Quit an older running Writer before replacing it. 3. Eject the DMG and open Writer from Applications. 4. This alpha is ad-hoc signed and is not Apple-notarized. If macOS blocks the first launch, open System Settings > Privacy & Security, locate the Writer message, and choose Open Anyway only if you trust this download. Your Mac may ask for your login password or Touch ID. Managed Macs can restrict this approval. Apple installation guidance: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102445 Existing alpha users may need to approve Keychain access or reconnect after replacing an ad-hoc signed build. Developer ID signing and notarization are pending Apple's enrollment approval. A stable signed identity has not been established in this alpha. ## Verification and limits The release was checked with focused offline Gemini and publishing tests, UI type checks, a production UI build, and bundled-runtime integrity/startup checks. AI responses in fixtures are simulated. These checks do not establish that every provider account can sign in, that a live model request succeeds, or that production website publishing succeeds. Installation on a second Mac and live provider/Robynn acceptance remain pending. Keep a copy of important documents before testing an alpha. Report the app version, macOS version, steps to reproduce and the visible error when sending feedback; do not include API keys or authorization URLs.
